Nero recode making bad image files

I'm running Windows XP with fully updated Nero packages. My problem is when I use Recode to shrink a DVD, and burn to a disc or create an image, the disc or image created is bad. The linking of the DVD menu and video structure has been altered, making it impossible to navigate. Also, if I load that created image or DVD into Recode again it gives an error message while importing. The error message recieved is as follows:

"Nero Recode 2 encountered an error and cannot continue. An internal error occured. A VOBU address is out of bounds. This may be caused by an invalid DVD navigation structure."

This only occurs if I attempt to make an image or burn to a disc with Recode. If I output to a hard disk folder it works fine.

Any help is appreciated.

I've also experienced this problem. It started when I upgraded to NVE 3.1.0.0 and has persisted through several additional upgrades. I'm currently NVE 3.1.0.7 running on Win98SE.

Yes, there is definitley a problem there. I recoded the movie KPAX with recode to an image file, then loaded it in daemon tools and tried to play it with PowerDVD. All it did was crash right after it started. I was using nerovision express 3.1.0.11. I think it is a bug. Have no idea how to get around it except to burn to a folder, like hamsterkill said. I noticed one difference when burning to an image. It burns layer 1 first, then the bar changes color and it burns layer 2. I don't remember ever seeing that when I burn to a folder.

I went back and tried to load the image into CloneDVD2 using daemon tools, and immediately got an error screen saying the the DVD was not mastered correctly. There is definitely a problem with this.

Well, at least I know it's not just me... it seems a strange problem to have. No idea on the cause still.

This problem seems to be fixed in nve 3.1.0.14.

Actually, I still seem to be experiencing this problem after upgrading to 3.1.0.14

Does anyone know how to burn the dvd's when getting the internal error?
Because I have download different dvd's did give me that error,
Any help is appreciated ,
