If you rip with DVDdecrypter, in file mode, to a temporary folder somewhere, you can in fact use Recode, however unlike DVDShrink you need to rename your temp folder as "VIDEO_TS".
Otherwise Recode can't "see" the contents, even though they're there. So just name your temp folder "VIDEO_TS" and it will see it.
Not sure if this answers your question, but it is a quirk I noticed.
RELATED WARNING FROM ANOTHER FORUM: "Btw, several folks are surmissing that Nero Recode is free. But it is not. Sure you can run it and you get no nag screen or expiration date. But if you run Nero VisionExpress demo, you get the expiration date. Once you past that expiration date, Nero Recode will no longer work (unless you upgrade or buy Nero 6)." SO BE CAREFUL AND NEVER RUN NERO VISIONEXPRESS!!!!
