hi there to all wondering if u could help out with this onewhenever i try to run nero infotool (version 2,2,7)it crashesi really do not know what is going onmy dvd recorder is a Nec3500 and also i have a BTC cd recorderthx in advance for your responses
@ BREAKBEATSZWhat crashes, the program or the entire computer? I would try to uninstall and reinstall the nero infotool. Hope that helps.
the program crashes i did uninstall reinstall nero but no luck
@ BREAKBEATSZJust a thought, maybe your program is corrupt. Try downloading from here and installing. Do you have some sort of firewall or anti-virus software that may be blocking nero's access?
i thought about it (being blocked by sth else)so i deactivate my antivirus & firewall but still the problem remains
I have the same problem to, Nero infotool crashes.
so does anyone has any knowledge on this one?OR can you propose of any alternate software
@ BREAKBEATSZIt depend on what you are trying to do. Google for 'everest', which used to be aida32. That is pretty thorough system infotool. And its free:)
actually a nero infotool alternate would be fine
I have an NEC 3500A, whenever I try to run InfoTool the system reboots immediately. (Win2k sp4, all latest drivers, anti-virus disabled). So maybe it's incompatible with the NEC drive?
No, Nero Info Tool works fine with my NEC-3500. Do you get an error message when it crashes?
its the usual error that the application hang hanging module and so on
I had that problem a year or so ago. I can't remember exactly what it ended up being. I will try to search some old notes. Could it be an ASPI problem?
shouldn't be an aspi problem cause i have the latest installed and evrything else works finei would really appreciate it if you could come on with an answer cause infotool is very useful prog
Same problem here as well. I left it alone for a few months and tried a new version and it went fine. It's hard to say what I changed but it works now.
did try different versions but no luck
I had the system reboot/BSOD running Nero InfoTool when my optical drives were on a Promise Ultra133-TX2 PCI IDE card. Also, Plextools Pro could not identify blank media ("Disc not empty" error). As soon as I moved the drives to the motherboard's built-in IDE ports the problems were gone.
my drives are both connected on the mobo ide ports
@ BREAKBEATSZDoes your mobo have Nvidia chipset? I think that causes some conflicts. Also, did you ever find/try 'everest'? It is even more in depth than nero infotool and has a cool benchmark tool as well....and its free:)...google for it.
i have a nvidia riva tnt2 but i really do not think that this is my problemi'll try to update the drivers to see if it makes any difference
im aware of everest(aida32) but at this time i use dvdinfo as an alternative to nero infotool.
