Your drive doesn’t like the Ritek discs, Ritek is known around here for low quality media, try a different brand, and it should work

#3

what do you mean by Ritek? the brand of the Disk is maxell. how can i tell what disk my drive will actually work with? Thanks for pointing it out for me mate :D. also
could you recommend a site which supllys good quality disks?

#4

(KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR)

I agree with RCM that Ritek is a problem and Maxell is known for using less than quality manufacturers.

Members consistently recommend Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Verbatim is often available locally but TY is best purchased on-line.

CDF has an on-line retailers forum that may assist for your area.

You can also look at the blank media forum as well.

A handy program for identifying what you bought is CDSpeed and there are many postings highlighting its use.
