Hi and welcome to the forum

The most probable cause of this failure is not nero, but the discs you are using. Try again with a better quality disc like Verbatim: this should solve

#3

okay thanks.

I’ll grab me some verbatims…hopefully that works.

I know that my dvd drive is really sensitive…my other computer is less sensitive…and it reads and burns even the poorest quality discs.

#4

Be careful about low quality media. One of the most frequent side-effects is a very fast degradation in time. Even if the disc was readable after the burn, after few months (in the worst case) the disc can become a coaster

#5

Hi there.

While i am aware of DVD shrink’s existance, i do not useit, i use DVD Fab instead, BUT, if you burn with it, it will burn at the fastest your drive can burn and if your disk is slower you will have a bad copy, the same is true of most programs other than CD / DVD burning programs.

This beeing said, which version of nero are you using?

At what speed are you burning, and can your drive burn that fast, and can the disk?

And note that if you are using a DVD +R DL, they burn at 2.4X or 4X, also for DVD Videos you SHOULD use mid quality DVD-R’s, the top quality ones sometimes only work on CPU’s.

PIB00.

#6

also for DVD Videos you SHOULD use mid quality DVD-R’s, the top quality ones sometimes only work on CPU’s.

Huh!!..If at all possible always use the best/most reliable media, period…

#7

The various burning software I have has speed settings .
I agree with t0nee1 I’ve never had a problem playing the best quality DVD disc on a standalone DVD player .
