THE ABOVE IS D LOG SHEET OF D SAME.it sez dma off. bt dere is no dma option in my “my computer”'s properties.have wasted 6 cd’s already…can’t afford 2 waste nymore.i use mosert baer disks nd alwez have be4 widout ny probs.

windows 9x does have a dma setting its just not in same place as in win2k/xp , see this thread http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=101616 , also be aware dma is also depended on bios settings so you need to check that too , should be set to auto for all drives , anyway dma is the least of your problems

notice the 0 free , not good at all , close any unnessary softwares,remove unnessasry softwares from startup too (use start–>run–>msconfig) , also if your using norton/mcafee anitivirus you should uninstall it as they are heavy and eat alot of ram, get some other antivirus like nod32 (very light on resources) or the free active virus shield/antivir , consider getting more ram

http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=101616
i followed ur advice nd checked out d above given link nd did as told{as under}
however dere ws no DMA option…
Under device manager you need to find your hard drives and CD-Rom drives. These are normally found under “Disk Drives” and “CDROM”. Under this you will have a number of items. You can ignore the floppy disk drive.

To bring up the next window you will need to double click on one of the items. We will take one of the hard drives first.

The next thing to do is to click the “Settings” tab at the top of the screen.

This is the screen that will come up. In the “Options” box you should be seeing a tick in the box next to “DMA”. If not then you need to click in the box to put a tick there.

To finished simply click the “OK” button to exit the windows.

i c , i guess its a chipset driver issue , obtain & install the latest from your motherboard/system manufacturer site

bt how cum dis problem ocurred nw??i mean i ws burning cd’s pretty regularly til 2-3 weeks be4

do u think changing my burner or reinstalling nero might help

unlikely , just get the chipset driver as i alredy suggested & check dma settings in bios , also as i alredy said remove unnessary softwares from startup to free up some ram , if you dont know whats your motherboard/system model then get hwinfo32 from http://www.snapfiles.com/get/hwinfo.html,click on “motherboard” after you run it…
