I normally use dvd shrink but lately had 6 dvds that would not load and scan or analyze the dvd that needs to be ripped. So I went on a search to find something that would work. Found nero encode, it did the job but noticed it did something weird to windows media player. The 2 are not related, but I was trying to watch an avi file on windows media player and all of a sudden it fails on me and tells me I need codecs. Atlthough it worked and has worked fine for months without codecs. After reformatting my computer and doing some tests it comes out the nero encode conflicts with window media player.
My question is can nero encode be fixed so I can have it as a option in case dvd shrink fails and still have windows media player for some avi files?
Is it in the settings or something impossible to fix and have all working fine together?
Thanks in advance.
