Nero Burn Fails - HELP!

vbimport

#1

I have been using Nero 6 for some months, and suddenly it has failed on me.

Every burn I attempt fails at about 5%.

I have uninstalled Nero, run the cleaning tools, also run AdAware etc, reinstalled Nero latest Nero, and the same problem still occurs.

See log…

Any suggestions gratefully accepted!!

I seem to have solved my own problem. Clever me!

I did the old trick of working backwards through anything which had changed on my system, and putting it back to how it was.

The solution was to uninstall “Music Catalogue Master” by KIX Software. This is a CD catalogue generation package, with no relationship at all (as far as I can see) to DVD or CD burning, so I can’t quite see why is causes Nero to crash, but is does seem to on my system.

Anyway, a warning to other Nero users, beware of http://www.kixsoftware.com

I’m not saying that Music Catalogue Master is bad, just that it might be the cause of your problems with Nero.

Happy burning!

Hi!
Just joined this forum for the same problem.
I have Samsung CD-R and bundeled Nero 5.5. For last couple of weeks, while trying to copy or write disk, after about 70% my computer restarts and analysis of the error report showed virtual device driver problem. I uninstalled completely with the help of Nero clean-up tool also and reinstaled the Nero. Problem still exists, and my computer restarts everytime I try to copy or write disk but now there is no error message! I have Windows XP with SP1 and all critical updates till date.
Any solution? Pleae help.
