I, too, am having problems with Nero 184.108.40.206.
I first noticed this morning when I opened task manager and I saw "Nero.exe" listed three times each using between 30MB-50MB of system memory. I was able to end each process without difficulty. I have never experienced this problem with any of the earlier versions of Nero.
Dell Dimension E521
nVidia Nforce 430 Chipset
AMD Sempron 3400+ 64-Bit @ 1.8GHz
1GB DDR2 Memory @ 533MHz
256MB ATI Radeon X1350 Pro
Samsung SH-S183L 18X DVD+/-RW w/ Lightscribe
Windows XP SP2 Professional
AVG Free AntiVirus 7.5.446 Build 268.18.6/709
ZoneAlarm Free 6.5.737.000
I am not using ATI Control Center because .Net Framework causes serious security and system stability issues, so I can rule that out as a possibility.
The lightscribe software comes from Lightscribe.com and is a separate process from Nero, so I'm sure that is also not an issue.
Problem also does not seem to be related to the Antivirus software or firewall. Windows firewall is disabled.
I would backstep to the last Nero installation but there were some conflicts concerning the chipset drivers and lightscribe which I am not having with 220.127.116.11.
I'll keep looking for a cause and solution and try to post as soon as I find one, but any suggestions anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
