Nero 6- Can't burn to DVD

I have burnt to disk before without problems but today when I tried I got the following message:

"“sorry your compilation cannot be written on this kind of disc.
please insert a disc of the correct type or modify the settings of your compilation to
make it compatible with the current disc.”

I have used a brand new disk (DVD+RW) so I don’t think that’s the problem. The text after the file that I am trying to burn is: **********.S02E03.WS.PDTV.XviD-RiVER
I don’t know if that has anything to do with it?

It can depend on the burner & the exact brand/speed of +RW disk you’ve got. Older burners can’t cope with some of the newer hi-speed DVD+RW media.

You haven’t by any chance selected a CD burner option by mistake?

I’m using TDK disks which I haven’t had a problem with before. I have a Pioneer 111D. I am using the Nero Express 3 SE and selecting video make cd > video CD.

Then you need to insert a CD not a DVD disk.

Video CD is a CD only format so Nero is quite right to reject the DVD+RW as incompatible or any form of DVD.

I tried it in the Nero Express 3: SE in the DVD section and it’s still saying no compatible file found.
