Ok,... here's my current dilemma:
I use Magix Movie Edit Pro 11 ver 188.8.131.52 to convert .avi files to DVD with menus, etc, and MOST of the time it works fine... but lately I have been getting a LOT of DVD's that pause / have slight freezes at the beginning which in turn make them impossible to put onto my external HD's for storage. I try using Decrypter and Fab Platinum to extract the 'finished' burns and they fail when there's that 1 or more 'pause' at the beginning of the DVD when playing...
Does this make any sense to anyone? it is probably my biggest headache right now and I'd LOVE it if someone could help me out here. If I just need to trash the Magix program and get something else (preferably free or cheap and intermediate level friendly), I can accept that, I only paid like $20 for it at Best Buy a few years ago.
I just hate wasting 2 hours or so and multiple DVD+R's on this problem
The most recent .avi file that I tried using Magix on was 696 MB, XVID compression, MPEG Layer 3, 640x352, 125kbps bit rate, 23 frames/sec fram rate, 995kbps data rate, 16 bit Video sample size... and I use default settings on MEPro as far as I know... like I said, it works for some files, for some it doesn't ????
ANY help would be appreciated, thanks!,
