Need udf file handler for win xp

I am trying to help out a friend, he has windows xp and is having trouble burning bluray discs with anydvdhd. I have seen that win xp needs a udf file handler and I remember someone giving a link to a toshiba udf file handler. Can anyone help with one - explaining if a UDF file handler is needed, (I know xp doesn’t support UDF 2.5) and secondly a link to a UDF file handler which would solve his bluray support problems?

thank you anyone for your help…

Win XP doesn’t support UDF 2.5/2.6 . Use this MEIUDF-5.3.0.1 http://de.wikibooks.org/wiki/DVD-RAM/_Weblinks . There’s versions for WINXP / XP64 and Vista / Vista64.

This is for Windows XP 32bit only. If you have problems installing on a non-Toshiba system, look at the instructions in this thread: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=15597

By the way, AnyDVD HD can break encryption and rip Blu Ray movies, but it cannot burn them.

THANK YOU - this is exactly what I was looking for, I understand this allows xp to handle UDF 2.5 and therefore be able to run ANYDVDHD with bluray ripping??:iagree::bow:And yes I have ANYDVDHD and imgburn on a vista machine, I am just trying to help a young fellow out who is getting format errors when he attempts to burn his blurays, and I remember reading where someone said that the toshiba UDF file handler is needed for xp to handle UDF 2.5 files.

Vista supports UDF 2.5 natively, I wouldn’t install this driver on Vista if I were you. But XP yeah.

I can’t imagine this would affect burns at all though, definitely affects reads.

:iagree:I do not need this UDF handler for my vista system, but my friend was having format errors when trying to read (rip) his bluray movies on xp. I am no pro at using xp for blu-ray, but I understand that xp doesn’t support UDF 2.5 so I thought that this file handler would help his problem with ripping with ANYDVDHD on his xp system, if this doesn’t sound right, please post…:iagree:
