Hello! I want to buy a new USB-DVD-Recorder in the price-range up to ~150€.
Which one's are good? It should be a DL-one. The burnquality is very important for me!
Hey People! It is very important for me, please help me!A Enclosure-Drive-Combination would be okay, too!
I suggest you a benq. It have a good writing quality and is available also as external drive. Both 1640 and 1650 are good drives and are available both as internal and external (usb) drives.
Any of these will produce good quality burns:
Plextor PX-740UFLG GSA-2164DSony DRX-810UL, DRX-820U
I would also recommend buying a Firewire/IEEE 1394 capable drive and using Firewire instead of USB if you are going to burn at 16x.
Im using a Pioneer dvr-111 with a prolific 3507 chipset. I get good burns.
Agree with you about BenQ 164B being a good drive, but I haven't seen any external version of 1650 yet.Maybe you can point me to the right direction.
off topic.BTW, what happend to your post count? A week back you had ~14k posts...
[o/t]@pinto2, we all got our post count cut down by the amount of posts we had done in the threads that have now been moved to the 'games up' section of cdfreaks[o/t]
Thanks gregtherotterius for pointing this out.
I haven't posted that much in "add 1 to above sum" crap-threads in living room section, I see.
You're right, I wrote uncorrectly. What I was meaning is that is possible to put the 1650 in an external box.
Sorry again
No problem geno.
About 1650 and enclosures. Until we have a "UDMA-4" firmware for BenQ165* drives, I would stick with the old and trusty 164B, (and recommendations posted by agent009).
