What programs are you running?
Have you defragged lately?
Do you dedicate the computer to burning only?
Do you turn-off your Anti-virus while burning?

More info in = More info out.

Yes, I would go to at least 1 gig with all the crap uh! stuff you have installed.

DMA looks fine. Do you really need two versions of AnyDVD and CloneDVD?
Delete some of your unused programs.
DVD Decrypter Version 3.2.3.0 is an older version BTW. Get 3.5.4.0

You need to find out what all the processes you are running are for, for your own information. Free up your resources.

You really should not be doing anything with the computer while you are encoding, transcoding or burning. It takes a lot of system resources.

Regards,

P.S. It is very late and I am going to bed.

Easy way to check, hit cntrl, alt del. Click the performance tab. Your page file can be whatever but if thier are spikes on the graph, that means you are actually using your page file. If you are using your page file, you do not have enough memory. Click the processes tab, and add it up…

just looking at anydvd there are 2 programs but one is the registration key they sent me is 1g enough im prepeared to buy 2g so i wont have to upgrade thets my theory or am i just stroking with the 2g?

#7

I have 1 system with 1gb, and another with 2gb. There is absolutely no noticable difference in encoding times on the systems. With the 1gb system, I have mcafee suite running in background, plextools, and about 20 other things. I haven’t had a single problem. 1GB of memory is more than enough.
