I just got one of these drives and it has the 0052 version firmware. I tried the live update from www.drvupdate.com, but that program is giving me an error.
“Occured System Error! The error code is 0x%.8X” whatever that means… Does anyone have the latest .bin file of the firmware? Thanks!

Unless I’m very much mistaken, all you get in the downloadable BTC firmware packs is a hex file (and you have to know how to extract it).

Sorry, I thought that if he was trying to use drvupdate that it would not matter.
As far as extracting the update, just run the update software and leave it open. Then check your windows temp directory and you will find a directory that looks something like this:
PAC2C56.tmp.DIR
that will contain the v0156.hex file needed to flash in dos.
That wll not fit on a floppy though.
