Need help with backing up psx games

does anyone know how to back up a psx game with the LibCrypt(psx) profile in clone cd ver 4 and a lite-on 48125 rw?

i tried to back up
resident evil: directors cut dual shock
resident evil 3
and dino crisis 2

none of them have worked and all have given errors while reading the psx disk.

here’s what i got on the dino crisis2 disc when i cancelled it before it ruined another cdr.

That’s your problem. ASUS CD-ROMs can’t read. I know, I have one. Read and write with the lite-on. Read the FAQ, too

grrrrrr. i just bought this asus cdrom.
:Z :frowning: :a

thanks for the reply.
:cool:

Just a small comment: it’s recommend to use a low read speed when copying PSX discs since the PlayStation’s laser can be very picky. Quality media is also recommended.

@Jerky

Its always recommended to do copying cds, especially ones with the writer. I found this makes both devices last longer, as if you use the CD/DVD-Roms to do this, especially on SD1/2 games, the spin ups and downs really can do harm to em if you got a cheap one. Writers are more or less designed for this stuff.
