I'm trying to setup a home network and I'm having some troubles. I have a desktop computer running Win98SE and a Laptop running WinXP. I tried using the wizard on my laptop to do it, you have to insert a Flash disk(USB storage) so I did. All the information saved fine on the device. My problem is that Win98 doesn't have the driver for the device. So I cant get it to work on my desktop. It doesn't say what brand it is.
I bought a MSI PC54G2 Wirless Network card for my desktop. I didn't realize that the software that it comes with to setup networks is only for WinXP. I think that the driver is installed for it alright. I can't seem to find it in the Device manager though. The driver is suposed to work for any Win OS.
So what I'm asking is that is there another way to setup a network with Win98? Is there another program I can download to setup a network?
