Hi found this site off of google search. Just bought a dell pc, 3.0 G, 800MHZ side bus, XP Professional yada, yada. Also purchased the dell movie studio + to capture analog video and record it onto DVD. Capture is working fine, however after this is done and go to burn disc it keeps saying file to large for disc. Am using (or trying to) the 4.7 GB DVD+R verbatim disc's and they say that they can record 60 min, 120 min, 180 min or 240 min if you use the MPEG2 compression rate.
I select the option of MPEG2 at the beginning of the capture (about a 1hr 30 minute video movie) but when done it says the file is to large for the disk. 2 questions, how do I select the different record modes of the disc? and for stupid question #2 why is it recording such a large file and how do I put that over onto DVD?
We have a bunch of old movies my folks took of us on 8MM that were converted to VHS tape and we want to convert them over onto DVD. As well as a few old classic western tapes that I would like to convert off of VHS to DVD.
basically totally new person at this DVD recording and am real frustrated!
