Need Firmware for TS-H552D (GA01) Mtkflash?

Can anyone use Mtkflash to backup their firmware from a Gateway computer with TS-H552D – this will be “GA01”?? I need one BAD! Mine is bricked until I get the right firmware on it.

Also, is the drive recognised in some way? Best would be if it is shown as 552Boot.

It is 552B (Boot). But that doesn’t work. It shows the drive but does nothing (shows as empty) when a DVD is inserted. Because it has OEM (gateway) lock on it.

It is 552D

It shows the drive but does nothing (shows as empty) when a DVD is inserted.
A drive in Safe Mode will only allow you to flash proper firmware, nothing else.
Because it has OEM (gateway) lock on it.
It is 552D
With a “forced Flash” (see FAQ in my signature), this OEM lock can be overridden, which means, you could also flash retail or other OEM firmware onto the drive. IMO there is nothing to lose at this stage.
