Need computer forensics DVD drive

This is my first post. I am a student in a computer forensics program. Maybe one of you can answer a question that no instructor could. I want to know the best DVD READER or DVD-RW for picking up very faint signals on the DVD for data recovery. In other words, what is the best DVD-RW that can detect weak sectors for data recovery.

I’ve read a lot about drives rated for speed, write errors, sheep count, and variety of media usage. I have never seen the drives rated for sensitivity and ability to read weak data.

Any suggestions?

If I have trouble reading I switch to the BenQ 1620. It seems to have the reputation as the best reader.
