Which is better to use for making a backup copy of a DVD movie, -R or +R? I’m using DVDfab and have tried bot types and they seem to work fine.

Thanks in advance.

Some people have their preferences but for the most part most people agree their really isnt much difference. There are two things I look at when discussing - or +.

  1. Which does my dvd burner like best? My Liteon drive likes both, but my Pioneer definitely gives good better burns on +r media.

  2. On +r media, you can booktype to dvd-rom (can make more compatible with a wider variety of dvd players.

Myself, I prefer Verbatim DVD+R, MCC 004.

Yo-

Unless you have an extremely old stand alone dvd player - either - or + should be okey - as long as you use quality media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim branded discs - and T02 and MCC 004 are my favorites (both +R) -eh!!

+R are they way to go. -R are picky in some dvd players.

I only use the TY’s or Verbatims.

I use the +R’s, and booktype to DVD-ROM.

Mostly +R booktyped to Dvd-Rom.

DITTO: I vote for the Verbs +R’s
