I own a NEC ND-3550A that came with 1.G3 firmware.
I am trying to flash with 1.Y6 and always get the error: Error entering safe mode.
What should I do to be able to upgrade it?

These “G” firmwares seem to be something special. I already received a 1.G0 firmware for a 3550 before and something seems to be different in these drives (only software - not hardware). Could you please check, if you can dump and upload the firmware to me?

Just looking around, found that I have 3 others 3550A. One has 1.G0. I have to check the others…
If you need it, I will be happy to send it to you…
I just need bitsetting and RPC removed…
