please help

Get firmware from here . Use either the 205c or 2a5c. Both will support Ritek F1 media which NEC original firmware doesn’t.

RITEKF1 surely isn’t supported by your drive, even with the latest firmware. You could try crossflashing to a 2510A, but even that may be in vain (not many drives can burn these discs properly). Platinum isn’t a very good choice either, you may be getting second-grade media.

Are you using Nero’s InCD program? If not, better uninstall this as it’s known to cause problems.

Maybe also this Nero version needs to be updated.

FWIW, I believe only the 2A5C supports the RITEKF1 DVD-R media.

You’re quite right. 205c doesn’t support Ritek F1 media, however 205d does as well as 2a5c.

The new 2.19 firmware http://www.de.nec.de/softwareoverview2.php/id/1333 supports Ritek F1 media

hmm i see that you have a 2500… first you need to cross flash to a 2510
