So I’m check out the firmware page and noticed they have a new firmware up for the 1100A. Has anyone tried the new f/w yet? What are the improvements/changes? Can we get a guinea pig on the case?

There are a few tests here: http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?t=14610

You can make a backup of your firmware, then flash back if you dislike it…

Hmmm… split verdict. My 1100A is working properly now, so I should just stick w/ the original 1A.0 f/w. Need BIN file for 52246S’s VS08 f/w though…

VS08 for 52246S ?

My bad. I meant to say 6S0F for 52246S. I’m not myself lately. liteon.notrix.net is out. damn it, need another source for ready made BIN.

Sweet. Thanks.

If it’s not top secret, why on earth did you need it ?
Is there something wrong with the XFlash ? Or the DOS way simply seems more certain to you ?

Yes, the 2nd one hits the spot. I actually flashed w/ the official 6S0F.exe and got really bad results. CD Speed write test maxed out at 31x, started w/ 18x. I went into DOS and flashed back to 6S0D w/ mtkflash and the speed came back, 52x max, started w/ 23x.
