Nec dvd_rw nd 2500-a

I was in the middle of burning a dvd using nero oem suite6 when the power at my house went off. When I booted the pc back up and tried to burn the movie again nero tells me to enter a blank disc into the burner even though the disc is blank. It does this on every movie that I attempt to burn. I have uninstalled the burner and rebooted and let windows install it for me. I have flashed the burner with the rom update and it still tells me the same thing. It even makes a clicking sound now when I insert the blank disc to be burned. The burner plays audio cd’s but when I attempt to play a dvd or even browse a dvd it opens blank. Could someone please help.

thanx in advance

This is the error from the log.

That doesn’t sounds very good. Try the burner in a different computer and see if it still gives the same problems. If it does, than I’m afraid you need a new drive.
