NEC 7173A Problem

hi guys … after 3 month of continues working with this great dvd writer … i faced with a problem .
one of my friends just entered my room and you know did sth to me Dvdwriter …
after all it cant read most of the dvd copies iv wrote before …
and its DMA is set to “OFF”
i dont know how to cope with that …
and by the way would you show me picture of the back of teh dvd writer so that i can see the jumpers in default form ( that damn guy changed that two )

here see the pic and tell me what to do to set the DMA “On” … and about jumpers … please tell me how many jumpers should i see there … and how they are configured

i even tried to change it through Device manager … i change it … but still no luck !! …

You could try removing the IDE controller completely from device manager. Reboot and allow XP to find the drivers and install them again.
