First of all, hello everybody!!!
I have a problem with a NEC 3520 drive, which fails systematically to burn any DL DVD disk, although it has recorded perfectly any DVD+/-R single layer and CD-R disk.
I have tried different disk brands and recording speeds, but no success.
I have also flashed its firmware to the latest (3.04) version of its "official" firmware, but no luck.
I have tried the recorder on two different systems, both of which managed to record prefectly DL disks when I replaced the NEC with an LG 4163 drive.
No Intel software on any of the two machines.
I have attached the Nero log for the latest failed burn (Used software: DVDDecrypter and Nero 6.6), should it provide any hints. The burn failed as soon as it started "Writing layer 1", but then nero started "Writing DVD high compatibility borders". The resulting disk seems to be writable, but when I select "Resume multisession disk", Nero does not allow me to select the existing 480KB session 1.
Any ideas? Is it defective drive or can I do something different?
Thank you in advance...
