NEC 3520 reading problem

I have a NEC 3520 and recently I bought Taiyo Yuden DVD-R. I burned data on one DVD without a problem, but then my NEC couldn’t read the DVD, and it showed that the disk was empty. Then I backed up a movie and again the PC couldn’t play the DVD. But I can watch my DVD movie on my SONY DVD-Player, so it means that the disk was written successfully.
I tried to read the DVD from Linux and DOS but the same happened, the PC saw an empty disk! I changed 3 firmware 3.07 , 2.U4 and 2.U5 but nothing.
I never had any problem like this with Verbatim or TDK that I used.

Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD-R:TYG02]

Disc & Book Type : [DVD-R] - [DVD-R]
Manufacturer Name : [Taiyo Yuden Co. Ltd.]
Manufacturer ID : [TYG02]
Blank Disc Capacity : [2,298,496 Sectors = 4.71 GB (4.38 GiB)]

[ DVD Identifier V5.0.1 - ]

I would like some help, because i don’t want to throw away 45 blank disks!

And sorry for my English!

Switch to +R media and the problem will likely vanish, and see posts for additional info on this problem at Suggest using those -R discs for backups to be played on the DVD player, and use +R for data or anything else you want to see on the NEC drive.

Thank’s, maybe I wiil do this.
