so now my question is: how can i bring nero to write the medium with 4x speed or higher?

komodor

What “crap” is that?

Must be very new - Platinum again uses some not supported MIDs here.
Your only chance is to update your burner’s firmware.

How would your 3500 burner be able to burn -RW faster than 4x? Never ever.

edit
It’s 1x/2x rated -RW media!!!

I tried to update my firmware but no firmware supports this medium with 4x speed. not even the newest nec firmware 2.1b although on the surface is printed 4x speed.

hehe, you’re right;-) 4x is max. speed, and that is enough, but 2x is to slow.

but why platinum writes on the disc surface that you can write this dvd-rw with 4x speed?

Maybe a misprint from Platinum.
I’ve checked on videohelp.com and all media with this MID is max 2x.

“CMCW03” would be 4x rated DVD-RW media.

can’t it be a error of DVD Identifier?
is there another program wich can show me the type of the dvd to be sure that it’s really the cmcw02?

No, surely not.

Ask the dealer for a replacement or just tell them that you have got 2x rated but not the advertised 4x -RW media.
Where have you bought the media?

in a german shop. so i have to go there tomorow and try to change the dvds
