I noticed that the media you’re using has the YUDEN000T02 media code. What BRAND of media are you using? They could be fake TY.

Thanks TerminalVeloCD

I Thought They Maybe Fakes Too So I Asked Here:

Here I’ve Tried Different Media And Different Firmwares.
The Graphs Will Show It All (Speeds, Media & Firmware Used)

What brand did you buy these under? I smell fake TY’s. If you look in the inner hub there should be a serial code there like TT, TG or GG (code begins with those letters) or something of that nature stating it’s true Taiyo Yuden media, if that code isn’t there then they are definitely fakes.

Thanks Braxas

Those DVD’s Burn So Great On My Other Burners To Be Fakes.
But My Nec 2500A@2510A Sure Hates Them.

I Could Not Find Any Serials On The Actual Discs.
Made It Hong Kong (Not Japan  )

made in hong kong means fakes. bulkpak 8x printable +r are exactly the same as your discs, they have that T820 and the dvd+r 8x imprint also! FAKE! don’t trust them, they will most likely stuff up in the long run (even the burns that seem to be good)

ty t02 from a fuji 8x spindle

Thanks Dicer & Cnlson

Looks Like I Will Be Going Shopping For Some REAL Media.

I Could Of Swear That I Saw The Same Pattern Happening With My Last Batch Of
TDK 8x DVD+R CMC MAG-E01-000 Media When Using The NEC2510A.

Once I Get Some New Media I Can Confirm If It Was Because Of The Fakes.

i have had the best luck with 107v2b4 rather than 108v3b2

check here starting about post 102.

good luck!

Cnlson You Are Brilliant And So Is Herrie

Just Tried nec107v2b4 (Obviously An Oldie But A Goodie)

Just Have A Look At The Scan Below (I Hope That Is Not A Fluke)
And Nec2500A Is Back Burning At 8x

#12

No Fluke Two In A Row With These Fakes

#13

That’s interesting, i wouldn’t trust the longevity of those discs though.

I Going To A Computer Swap Meet This Sunday

And If I Can’t Find Any Descent Media There.

I’ll Stop On The Way Home At Officeworks And Buy Some That’s On Special.

Herrie’s older seem better than the newer stuff but he has a woman now and i think that she is sucking the life out of him…
