NEC 2500A burn TYG01 at 8x reliable?

NEC 2500A burn TYG01 at 8x reliable? I try my fujifilm TYG01 burn at 8x, 6x and 4x. All are successful. At 8x there are 3 layer which shows it burns at 4x, 6x then 8x. There are some strange big spot(or lines) of darker colour in the 8x area. Those spot are like darker purple then the regular burning purple colour. In my opinion, I know that it may represend the laser overpower to certain area of the disk so it make some area is much darker purple. I dont know those darker line or spot in the outer circle when I burn at 8x and 6x will affect the disk life. One time I can sure is that when I burn at 4x there are no darker spot.

Please help, Thanks

Never had that problem myself.

But there may be quality differences with TYG01 discs, so some may have problems at 8x writespeed.

I have burnt about 10 verbatims with TYG01 dye. Works perfect booth in my NEC 2500 and in my friends United dvd player. A very cheep one! Have burnt ONE TYG01 in 8x and it workt out very good. No problems at all. :iagree:

I have burned approximately 20 Taiyo Yuden DVD’s with my 2500A. None have had any problems what-so-ever. In addition, all disks have played flawlessly in numerous stand alone players. All these disks were 4x rated, but burned at 8x with 2500A.

Are these Taiyo Yuden dvds +r or -r?

Does anyone know of any -r discs that will burn at 8x on the 2500a?

Does anyone know of any -r discs that will burn at 8x on the 2500a?

TY DVD-R 4x and MCC DVD-R 4x
