My liteon drive is burning -r at 6x

anywayz i know my theory sound stupid the thing i want to make clear is that when a drive get a buffer time their is usually a very small gap between the sectors the result will a error on the disc i know this because when i get buffer under runs o my disc it is full of errors check the bad scan at top thats an eg lately the 6.0 x burns i dont get a hint of buffer underrun even with cheap media the results are very good check out the results a top
thats s my theory

when i click on create data disc is says please in blank cd message

anywayz i feel like its only a few software burn at 6x speed nero burns at 4 x but decryptor and alochol burn at 6x and 5 x respectivly

u don’t create a data disc, u simply place a blank dvd into the drive, make sure the correct drive is selected, and click Start.

dvd decryptor burns my disc at 6x i wont use no more software

It looks pretty legit to me. That very interesting. Would this mean that its some how possible for a regular 811 to write at 6-8x with an adjustment to the current firmwares?

hey guys i might be burning faster than 6x if u look at my nero create data disc it when to speeds up to 7.6 x but i burn somthing a while with nero it said that the remaining time was 11:42 seconds at 4 x but it finish within 7 mins take a look
the file size is 3.6 gigs

Is there a way we can be sure that the drive is actually writing to the media @ ~6x or greater and prove that the bus is transfering data to the media this quickly?

Yes, the logs are one thing - but, actual tranfer rates reported are another (I think…)…

Does anybody have a copy of a program called BusHound? It might be of some use to us.

the picture shows the actual speed which this disc is writing at it could be wrong but the time the disc takes to finish shows that it is writing at 6x

4x takes 13:57 mins to burn 4.22 gigs of data

6x as shown take 8:58 mins to burn 4.22 gigs

alcohol burns at 4.8 x

dvd drecrypter burns at 6.1x

nero burns at 7.87x

tested media so far -r +r -rw all burn at the above software speed
all with very good scan see the first page of this post


look at this nero is even confused

the burn said that it take will 11:58 min to burn the dvd

at the end it took 7:59 mins to burn, it even had extra time left bad bad calculation that cant be a 4x burn rate


At forum.rpc1.org, a guy called Pacman posted a link for a modified firmware version which permits burning at higher speeds.

I guess that you have such a modified firmware which increases speed automatically.
