My Dad's after a new divx/dvd player ? What should he go for?

My Dad currently owns a Kiss DP-1000 Divx/DVD player which is well terrible because it can't even play divx films half the time and keeps on freezing even with the latest firmware. . . so my dad's seeking out for a new dvd player. He is after something cheap and good at divx, xvid playback basically for a normal 4:3 pal tv. If anyone know's something decent please reply thanks. Kenny.

I have the Pioneer DV-400 and highly recommend it for exactly the kind of duty you described. It has good build quality, decent features and plays Divx/Xvid/AVI files well. it also has a USB port on the front panel to use for playing files from a FAT32 formatted hard drive or a USB drive. I see them selling for around $70 but you can get a great deal on one from Best Buy’s ebay store. I got mine there for $40, including shipping.

Grab the Pioneer DV-400, it’s a very good player and cheap.
