I think something weird happened when I installed musicmatch jukebox. now, whenever windows starts up, a folder that contains musicmatch jukebox opens on my desktop. it’s not in my startup folder. anyone know how i can get rid of it?
msconfig - > look for startup items
Thanks ckin. That did the trick. I was amazed at how many things load at startup. I just wish I didn’t have to disable them this way. I wish they could be taken off the list permanently.
in regedit go ho HKLM\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run
and you will see most of the stuff that starts up automatically
you can make this more comfortable by using a tool as tune-up utilities 2004 from
just use the startup manager from the utilities to disable the items, and if it makes no problems you can easily remove them completely…
Thanks guys. I’ll give it a try.
