assuming you tried to burn an audio CD, there are a couple of things to consider:
[li]the player. Some older players don’t support writeable discs at all. Check the manual
[/li][li]the blank discs. Especially old players that were not designed to support CD-R discs, work only with a few media.
[/li][li]the burner. Not all burners are equal, when CD burning matters.
[/li][li]the burn speed. 16x or something like that is recommended
Software normally does not matter.
I do own an extremely picky JVC player. It only works with Ritek and CMC made discs if they are burnt at 16x with either my NEC or my Pioneer burner. Sounds like Voodoo, but that’s what works for me
