The write speeds for the 8 and 16 gig are pretty dismal.

I agree but you get what you pay for with Thumb drives and such, I only use Lexar Tritions or the P10 series, saves me a lot of time and time is money.

there are usb 3 drives that are about 200mb read and 150 write, and probably higher too… but the top speed always gets the top price… so it does depend on how much your speed & time are worth $
