I have been using Nero Express 126.96.36.199 to burn my bank and medical data file information to cd and dvd media. The problem is that even though I select Multisession and do not finalize the media when I try to add files to the disc later I get the following message "The disc you have inserted is not empty, but the writing mode of your compilation is "Start Multisession" or "No Multisession". This will cause the information already on the disc to be inaccessible via Windows Explorer, should Nero Proceed with writing to the disc?"
Thus when I have only 2Mb written to a cd or dvd I am unable to add data files to it later without this issue arising. I thought that multisession was just that, multisession and I could add files until the disc was full. If this is not the correct way to copy and keep backup files like this on a disc can someone suggest an alternative way in which I will not waste discs.
P.S. I am running XP SP3
