Mt. Rainier

Hi,

Which Liteons supports it?
Will 32123S be able to use Mt. Rainier some day?
Is it depend of firmware or chipset?

take care!

#2

No Lite-On’s support it yet.

Both chipset and firmware must be made to support it.

For now I think there is Mt.Rainier support in the chipset of the LTR-40125S and maybe also the LTR-32123S and LTR-24103S, but not support in the firmware yet.

Since there is no software support for it yet there is really no need for it…a new firmware will probably be released to enable it when there is software out that supports mt.rainier

Only the 40x Liteon support MtRainier
older models will never support it as far as i onderstand.

Yep, but it’s not implemented yet. Just take nero info tool and see, no mt.rainier detected…

#6

The Nero Info tool doesn’t detect the Mt Rainier support on my Liteon 40x, but it also doesn’t detect cd-rw write capabilities. Maybe it’s wrong about the Mt Rainier support.

#7

I just downloaded the new Info Tool 1.01 and CD-WR write support is checked now. Mt Rainier support still isn’t.
