Is there a way to convert a DVD to a MPEG2 with smaller resolution. I have an MP3 player running rockbox and it only supports MPEG1 or 2. I would like to do this with DVDfab.

Sorry, but not right now. The VOB Passthrough profile in DVD to Mobile does not modify any of the screen parameters.

What MP3 Player is this?

If is a Rockchip chipset, I have developed multiple profiles that work fine on some of these devices. (Commonly used in Chinese manufactured MP3/MP4) players… AVI+ MP3 & AVI + MP2.

It is a Sansa e260 with the current version of Rockbox loaded on it.

The description of the MPEG player for Rockbox on the Sansa can be found here:

http://download.rockbox.org/manual/rockbox-sansae200/rockbox-buildch10.html#x13-20600010.3.5

You might try a program called WinFF:

I haven’t tried it but it does have a Rockbox conversion. You would probably need to use DVDFab Mobile to create the files that WinFF would read.

I’m not sure what would actually be worth watching on such a small screen.

GregiBoy can you share your profiles for a Rockchip mp3/4 player. I have not been able to convert any dvds to a compatible avi format to run on my Rockchip mp3.
