Mpeg to DVD

Does anyone know a good program to convert mpeg to dvd? I have home videos on my hard drive and want to play them on my dvd.

Well first off I’d just like to tell you that it will be a long hard and tedious process to get them onto a DVD in perfect condition. I have the program to do it but not a guide, there are many ways to do this. I’d suggest that you go to for all you’ll need on this subject, if they can’t help you with this then no one can.

if you have tmpgenc dvd author that will take a mpeg file then make a dvd compliant folder

True, that is one of the programs needed but you have to make sure that it is the proper resolution, probably not since you say they are home movies. You’ll have to convert it so that it’s the right resolution, then you gotta worry about audio. Just go to the site I posted and you should be fine.

Thanks for your help…

I downloaded TMPGnc and it told me what my problems were with my videos.

First the resolution has to be right 720x480, then the audio has to be standard.

Once I did that I was able to burn them to dvd using Nero Express.
