MPEG streamclip

Hello everybody

I’m trying to extract scenes from a movie, and I’m able to do so with MPEG streamclip and save them into AVI form, but the problem is with the size the files end up being (really big).

Is there another method I can try to clip scenes, but end up with the same visual quality in much less storage space? Cuz I’m getting like 250 mb for a 5 minute clip. That’s a little much.

I’d like it to be under 100.

thanks

Probably they got saved in uncompressed avi format.

Use tools like SUPER or VirtualDub to compress them again.

Go to setting and change the saved format to DivX

mm… ok, that isn’t working. Virtualdub gave me a file that was nearly 8 GB.

what am I doing wrong? I don’t know how to have it compressed
