MPAA Takes Control of The Web

According to DefectiveByDesign, a campaign started by the Free Software Foundation to fight the widespread use of DRM, the MPAA is now a governing member of World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). You know what this means: DRM and loss of privacy for all!

For those who have never heard of W3C, they’re basically a (very, very, VERY) important standards group, responsible for creating the standards the world wide itself depends on. With control of W3C, the MPAA has the exact level of unjust control they’ve been begging governments to give them for years.

Don’t let the MPAA own the web! See the above link for details.
