This whole idea reeks of improper influence. Unfortunately, even if the teacher does explain the complexity of the issue, you know there is that one "special" child that will interpret the complexity of stealing as justification to swipe a bag of chips at a brick and mortar store. And the MPAA will be all over that - probably would get the teacher fired for "endorsing" stealing.:r
Let's see Hollywood promoting "ethics" that's a first and paying money to a non-profit business club(which is odd in itself) because they of course can't earn money like the MPAA Does. What happenend to 'liberal' Hollywood which cared for poor underlings, not when it's their money. BTW: can anyone name even the poorest star of any current hollywood film(Not independent) even small films i don't here them complaining.Second just cut Pitts salary to make up for losses. :B
Yes, there is the moral and ethical argument, but lets get to the one that fires everyones motor, the financial one. Moves like this arn't paid for by the MPAA and ilk but by the grunion who goes to their shitty theatres to watch their shitty movies eating their shitty popcorn...AND to top it all off it will be claimed as a tax dodge..... ( don't tell my mother I'm an exec for the MPAA, she thinks I play a piano in a brothel)........:X
"don't tell my mother I'm an exec for the MPAA, she thinks I play a piano in a brothel" OMG that's good one!!!! :X
How creepy. I don't enjoy the idea of Big Business having an educational hand like this. Think about other industries doing this kind of stuff with their agendas. Just as separation of Church and State, likewise Education and Big Business agenda/propaganda needs to be divided as well.
Maybe, like, if they didn't charge so much for music, they wouldn't, like, have this problem. But that would be, like, too simple.
