Mp3 clipping after conversion

I used Goldwave to convert some .aa files that I bought off of to mp3’s. I used a successful guide from another site to convert it. After I converted to mp3, the file plays fine in media player, but once loaded into my cd burning program, it clips badly. It clips when I preview what it will sound like on the CD. I even burned the CD anyway, it clips too. Could it be the frequency or VBR?

Any suggestions?

So you have bought them online - means that you are not allowed to convert them, usually.

It depends on the laws and restrictions the seller “dictates” you.
