They can make it as hard as they want, it won't stop me from setting firefox as default or probably anyone else to drop that "Edge" browser before it even launches. Though it just goes to show how much they care about freedom of choice. That kite probably won't fly again in the EU, if they force it down our throats the EU privacy committee is going to have another field day with M$
type default in start, in default programs click on your browser of choice, click "set this program as default", simples
I just told my sister about this article, and she pretty much what we all are probably thinking:
"Why? Microsoft are such idiots".
The default browser situation on Windows 10 is pretty bad. This says it all why no one will go WinX anytime soon...maybe after WinX Sp1 or Sp2 if even then. But with anytime the harder M$ tries to block the more people hack the O/S. They never learn...they like to play hard ball but it will get tossed right back at them instead....typical top down Mantra.... "WeKnowWhatIsBestForYou"........
I'm not too worried about this; users will probably find all kinds of ways. Mozilla should try to load theirs onto a Chromebook and THEN complain. Or come up with their own OS.
I'm going to be sitting Windows 10 out for a while myself and let the chips fly.
After Vista, Win8 and 8.1, I'm still pretty happy with Windows 7. It has been all down hill since XP except for W7 imo.
That makes no sense....
That's a understatement it Rules W8...after XP support was cut most went to find Windows 7. That should tell anyone how bad W8 is.
