he Windows 8 Metro version of FireFox has been postponed to 2014. Till now the release that’s been rescheduled several times already, was planned for December this year.

I’m rather surprised by this - and disheartened. This means they’re probably implementing a more complete set of Store Features and transaction processing hooks, which appears to add in new layers of Tracking and Per-Usage abilities.

It’s about time to go back and read about the first opium wars, I guess. I think those were 1830s, around Canton, but the destruction that the Imperial Vendor wrought was occurring long before that. All in the name of “finding a cash crop for trading” rather than offering precious metals and coins.
