I’ve read on one post on these forums that someone had the same spikes at the end of their TYs as well.

Overall the Ritek discs seem to have a higher error average and error rise and fall at 3/4 of the disc. The Yudens a lower average and high spike at the very end of the disc. QScan actually brings up a message that advises not to burn the TYs at 8x once it breaks the line at the end. Althouth with many scans from many users on PIE/PIF from burned TYs, not to mention over speeding burns, I think its safe to say the discs will burn with no problem.

I say either the pack of TY has bad discs or the way the disc is made concludes a signature spike at the end with QScan.

I bought the Ritek’s R03 because they were on sale and I wasn’t aware of the R03 reputation. I was planning on returning them since I haven’t burned any yet. My TY’s I plan to keep unless I get some bad burns.

I’m very compulsive about hardware, media, etc if you haven’t noticed.

Any thoughts on the scans? I will plan to post a Yuden PIE/PIF scan soon, as soon as I get nero working.

The TY did very well regardless of what QScan said. Scan is posted here: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showpost.php?p=1240942&postcount=351
