Here is an odd one. I have a Gigabyte SINXP running with a P4 2.8Ghz, 1024Mb Crutial RAM, LeadTek GeForce 4 Ti4800, Audigy 2, 2x 80Gb RAID 1, 2x 60Gb, Mitsui Floppy and a PS2 connected keyboard and Microsoft Optical wheel mouse also connected to a PS/2 port with the supplied adapter.
When I shut the PC down the power drops to everything except the mouse. I know this because the LED stays on where I would expect it to go off. 20 hours later I go back to the PC and the LED is still on! If I pull the mains plug, or switch the PSU input off [Antec 480W TruePower] the led goes out and stays out when the power is reapplied to the PSU.
I've been through the BIOS [ver F5] in 'advanced' mode and anything labelled as 'Wake on ....' has been disabled as has Legacy USB support. I can't see anything else that would have any affect on the mouse.
I'm running Win XP Pro SP1 with no host fixes [...yet, as I've only just built the thing] but I have installed IntelliPoint 4.1 which made no difference
Anyone know why the power doesn't drop to the mouse?
