Moser Baer India DVD-R

Philips has MBI discs?..

But not that bad

Had

Older discs, I guess 10 years old or older

You can easily identify the date of manufacture:

I´m surprised, those good results with this MID I only know from old media

Original strategy was more bad? It´s not a good media overall (if it is not a fake), but with this media I saw less PIF, MBI +R are mostly more worse

Yes.
The seller buy this from Ali.express, looks like the original OPT come from FTI, this is fake.

Fake of OPT?

Don´t know the brand OPT, maybe they buy from the manufacturer with the better price? Same I know from lables like Intenso, Mediarange, Platinum.

Imation DVD-R 16x (Jewel Case) - Production: 2005 - Made in India.
ImgBurn - OPC Enabled - Burned @8x

This is probably the wrong category because this is not MBI, the stamper code is:
DVD-R 16X AZO1

The first PIE peak ruined the scan…

PowerISO v7.5 - Buffer Size Option: 8mb - Burned @16x

Stamper Code: Z0053U DVDMINUSR16X
The Dye color looks exactly as AZO1, but these discs are weak at PIF.
Something happend during the burning process, the disc slowed down and left a dark area on the disc.

Infrarecorder (Updated) - Burned @4x (Write Strategy: TYG01)

Do you mean the dark ring? Could happen if the speed is hanging rapidly

Poweriso has no buffer underrun protection and the buffer size is 8mb by default, probably with 128mb I can get better results.

For some reason infrarecorder did less PIFs, better than imgburn.

I´m not sure if the burnes of last 15 years need software-support für buffer underrun protection, this should be managed in the burner-chipset. If you have a fast source (SSD, HDD with no other actions at burning) it should never be a problem.
