I have never run across an RX500 in the US. The RX570 series (58x, 59x) was the successor to the R-200/300 series. The RX500 appears to be a C-model rebadge, which means it doesn’t have the “push pull” mechanism (rollers) for a CD Tray Feeder, like the RX570-series has for direct-to-disk printing.
Currently, the Epson Artisans are nearing the end of their life-cycle and those Artisan 700s can be found in the $75-99 range every few weeks - either thru on-line retailers or thru Epson Store directly. Epson is delivering a new printer called the Impression Premium XP (starting at $149 thru Epson Store) that has direct-to-disk printing that works nicely, too - exactly like the Artisans. (The Impression HOME XP does not have direct-to-disk printing, by the way.)
But for price and performance, I can easily recommend finding an Artisan 700-series on sale. This IS the great time of year for price-drops.
